Scenario.

Based on real customer data in the UK on electricity usage, and a scenario of:

  • 290 bedrooms heated over 200 days/annum.

  • £0.39 per kWh cost and an extra 1.5 kWh per hour consumed for each degree over 22°C.

Utopi Multisensor data alongside the heatmap in the Utopi platform helped a client see their average site temperature was 24.5°C, due to residents overheating their rooms.

Lack of heating control mean’t that residents were excessively heating their rooms, hence the reason for such high electricity usage.
